Job Description:

• HS Diploma at a minimum and depending on specific role a degree or advance degree may be required.
• Requires 1 to 3 years of experience.
• Requires some general laboratory skills (use of balances, gram and ounce conversion, yield accounting, equipment operation) or special skills taught by P&G.
• With moderate instruction, must be able to perform routine testing and work with specific instrumentation (i.e. hair combing tests, particle size analysis, etc.).
• Receiving, labeling and safely storing samples to be Business Use tested.
• Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and reports.
• Recording tests and analyses and then reporting the results.
• Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results.
• Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the sample.
• Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment.
• Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs.
• Staying current on technical and scientific advances in their field.
• May require substantial independent judgment.

Must Haves:

• Ability to quickly take direction from P&G employees and determine the right testing to execute for a project given guidance from P&G.
• Viewing specifications and standards in P&G systems to determine parameters for testing
• Interfacing with other P&G functions, packaging suppliers, or 3rd party testing labs that are involved in the testing.
• Background in lab testing and reading/understanding/executing test methods and specifications
• Computer-proficient, particularly including capabilities in processing data using Microsoft excel, and experience in Enovia
• Understands math and statistics.
• Good communication and organization skills
• Ability to act and make decisions with rapid changes
• Operating testing within P&G lab facilities. Follow all P&G safety protocols for lab testing & equipment (PPE, Job Aids, test methods, SOPs, etc.), ISTA ship test protocols o Bruceton/Neyer Testing, Tip Angle Testing, Compression testing, Instron testing, Etc.
• Working with 3rd party test providers to execute testing that is not available within P&G labs, ISTA 3E, Etc.

• Engineering and/or packaging background preferred.

• May not be always a 20-hour week depending on business needs; should not exceed 20 hours
