LINQM is adding a Laboratory Engineer to the team. 



Job Functions / Responsibilities




  • Support a range of laboratory engineering activities with the focus on THV R&D Valve Testing including feasibility evaluations, product design verification, and test method validation.

  • Support writing and executing of protocols, statistical data analysis and authoring reports.



Qualifications



Required Skills, Experience and Education:




  • Engineer I level position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related engineering discipline.



Skills/Experience To Include The Following




  • Ability to work with microscopes, calipers, micrometers, laser micrometers and video inspection system, other metrology and laboratory equipment for medical devices assessment

  • Solid understanding and knowledge of engineering principles, theories, and concepts.   Strong knowledge of hydrodynamics and biological interactions with medical devices preferred

  • Working knowledge and understanding of statistical techniques required

  • Follows project protocol guidance; has ability to understand established procedures, and may suggest alternative approaches

  • Ability to analyzes data and interprets standard practices and procedures to establish recommendations for problem solving

  • Must be able to effectively articulate, verbally and in writing, results and conclusions to technical and non-technical personnel. Must have strong technical writing skills.

  • Clear understanding of good documentation practices and medical device quality system regulations and requirements preferred

  • Knowledge of CAD modelling (Solidworks) preferred

  • Previous experience in medical device testing and/or process development preferred



 




  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter who is driven to achieve quality and value-add results with appropriate direction

  • Candidate must seek direction when appropriate

  • Ability to work well both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team in a dynamic environment is essential

  • Solid problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills including negotiating and relationship management.

  • Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships
