1. Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology from an accredited college or university with a minimum of six (6) years relevant work experience in a hospital clinical laboratory; or Bachelors Degree with science major from an accredited college or university and a minimum of seven (7) years relevant work experience in a hospital clinical laboratory.
2. Must meet NYS DOH qualifications as Laboratory Supervisor with a minimum of 3 years experience in areas of Blood Bank, Hematology, Clinical Chemistry and Bacteriology.
3. Participation in professional organizations; American Society of Clinical Pathologists preferred.
4. Knowledge of and familiarity with standards and regulations of NYS Department of Health, JCAHO and College of American Pathology, for clinical laboratories.
5. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with staff and patients in a courteous, tactful manner and with sensitivity to the special needs of Calvary patients.
6. Experience with the operation of Laboratory Information Systems, personal computers and related software programs for purposes of documenting clinical laboratory quality and statistical information.
7. Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and necessary maintenance requirements.
8. Exhibits an ability and attitude relative to the spirit of caring and tradition at Calvary Hospital as required by specific job duties and functions.

COVID-19 vaccination is strongly encouraged for all new hires prior to beginning employment at Calvary Hospital.

Salary Range: $85K - $90K/Annually
