Description: The Laboratory Technician position impacts people's health and well-being all around the world while working on a new and exciting automation platform; the Atellica. This position supports product, material, and process changes as they build/test reagents and materials on the Atellica, Centaur, and Centaur CP automation platforms. Position reports to Senior Supervisor of Technical Operations within the Project sector. Assay portfolio focus includes Infectious Diseases, Anemia, Reproductive, Allergy, and Oncology. This position includes the handling of all types of materials, including hazardous and DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) controlled materials. This is a role well suited for an energized professional looking for the first step in their career. As a Laboratory Technician you will be responsible for: Participating in building/testing of immunoassay reagents and components in support of design and process changes. Working in the laboratory running Atellica, Centaur, and CP instrumentation with serum and other biological fluids of human and animal origin. Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis, such as sampling, testing, and measuring using specialized equipment. Compiling, analyzing, and interpreting of results. Calculates as well as prepares graphs and charts. Performing periodic equipment inspections and preventative maintenance work. Assisting with writing compliance documentation associated with investigations, data analyses, and experimental conclusions. Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience - Minimum Associate Degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry
- 1 + years job related experience
- Experience with automated immunoassay analyzers and/or ELISA and chemiluminescent technology
- Strong work ethic, excellent written and communication skills
- Must be flexible and demonstrate the ability to switch priorities to meet business needs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
