Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Project Manager is to oversee multiple enhancement project crews to ensure that jobs are completed successfully, on time, and within budget. This includes seeing a project through from inception to completion, scheduling jobs to optimize profitability, and ensuring that the crews have the necessary equipment and materials to complete the job at hand.

The ideal candidate has excellent leadership skills in order to train, mentor, and motivate the enhancement crews. Strong communication skills are essential in order to communicate effectively with coworkers and our customers. Planning and being proactive are crucial to success in this role; youll play an important part in making sure we execute quality jobs that leave our customers happy!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Effectively prioritizing and scheduling jobs to create efficient work schedules
  • Providing direction and delegating responsibility to foremen to ensure jobs are completed successfully and in a timely manner
  • Utilizing ServiceAutopilot and other internal programs/processes to manage the project crews and jobs. All relevant data related to each job (from scheduling to after-action) must be documented in ServiceAutopilot.
  • Evaluating accounts for estimated/budgeted hours vs. actual hours to determine profitability and suggest improvements where necessary
  • Understanding the companys service expectations and communicating with clients, enhancement project crews, and other employees to address questions and concerns in a timely manner
  • Perform quality assurance checks on client properties as needed; be proactive to make corrections and/or find opportunities for new work
  • Managing employee schedules including time off requests and approving timesheets, involvement in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management
  • Project planning and being in charge of equipment/inventory/materials needed for the enhancement crews
  • Maintaining relationships with third party vendors such as nurseries and mulch yards
  • Having knowledge of different types of plants and materials
  • Acting as the main communicator between the projects crews and the office and owner
  • Providing leadership and mentorship to other employees
  • Ensuring that safety policies are adhered to
  • Acting as back-up foreman as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a foreman in the landscaping industry or other managing role outside the industry
  • Proactive and a quick thinker with good problem solving skills
  • Enthusiastic and friendly demeanor; one who provides positive interactions with those inside and outside of the company
  • Strong organizational skills to see projects through from start to finish, as well as manage crews and employee matters
  • Competent at managing teams
  • Knowledge of the companys services and standards, or the ability to learn quickly
  • Knowledge of various plants and materials, or the ability to learn quickly
  • Tech savvy - ability to learn and effectively utilize ServiceAutopilot, the companys CRM platform, as well as other computer programs
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Valid drivers license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
