Linxx Global Solutions, Inc. (Linxx) is currently recruiting candidates to serve as Law Enforcement Instructors/Weapons-Based Instructors, as well as Law Enforcement Instructors/Weapons-Based Instructors with Emergency Vehicle Operator certifications. These instructors will deliver the Law Enforcement Specialist Course at the U.S. Navy Center for Security Forces Learning Site Naval Technical Training Command Lackland, Joint Base in San Antonio, Texas. This course is considered Moderate Risk. Typically, training will be conducted 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (Monday through Friday), unless otherwise directed.

Responsibilities


  • Instruct the following Law Enforcement Specialist Course topics in the legacy, legacy lab, and blended learning environments in accordance with approved the curriculum: Orientation, Military Law, Emergency Vehicle Operator, Patrol Officer Fundamentals, Law Enforcement, and Incident Management

  • Maintain, update, and/or develop course material

  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and efficient learning environment with high morale

  • Provide student performance information during U.S. Navy Academic Review Boards

  • Provide written statements on student performance or appear in person at nonjudicial punishment or court martial proceedings

  • Travel as required to provide training at overseas locations and/or accomplish temporary duty aboard a government ship


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


  • No record of misconduct, arrest, or convictions while serving as a law enforcement officer

  • Familiarity with the M500, M9, and M4 with the ability to achieve a Category II qualification score

  • Cognizance of and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding firearms, explosives, and high-capacity magazines

  • Knowledge of basic and advanced training techniques, including classroom management, classroom assessment techniques, student motivation, and computer technology applications

  • Excellent command of the English language (verbal and written)

  • Ability to pass a drug/alcohol screening, medical screening, and psychological evaluation

  • Ability to complete contractor- and government-required training courses


Required Qualifications


  • Must have one of the following

    •  federal, state, or municipal law enforcement officer with a minimum of 5 years operational patrol experience with a civilian law enforcement agency within the last 7 years.

    • Certified with a minimum of 5 years operational patrol experience within the last 7 years.



  • Ability to obtain a Texas driver’s license and certification to operate government trucks, sedans, sport-utility vehicles, and vans

  • Maintain a physical fitness level to perform all training evolutions, including all tactical and dynamic maneuvers per the testing plan

  • Ability to effectively complete weapons qualifications in the standing, kneeling, and prone positions, as well as ascend or descend ladders and go through narrow passageways

  • Ability to acclimate to extreme local environmental conditions (e.g., high heat and humidity)

  • Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain a common access card to access government facilities

  • Two years of emergency vehicle driving experience



Clean driving record (no DWI/DUI or major moving violations)


Preferred Requirements

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:




  • Graduate of the U.S. Navy Instructor Training course or military service equivalent, academic credentialing (teacher/professor), or instructor training through an academic institution (i.e., Tidewater Community College Course MILT 5100)

  • Firearms instructor certification

  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and basic first aid certifications
