Access Services is hiring a full time Lead Clinician of Individual Services for the Intensive Behavioral Health Services program, serving across Lehigh Valley with an office based in Bethlehem, PA. The Lead Clinician will be an individual who is either a Behavior Consultant or a Mobile Therapist. The Lead Clinician will be organized, clinically sound, and a team player who will demonstrate a high passion for excellent service and a collaborative mindset. A well-qualified Lead Clinician will have experience providing individual and/or family therapy, experience providing individual and/or group supervision, and knowledge or experience providing various treatment modalities such as CBT, EMDR, and providing trauma-informed therputic services.

Essential Functions

  • Engage children, youth, and young adults and their families and care providers to support thorough assessment of medical need for Intensive Behavioral Health Services.
  • Prepare an assessment of medical need for services that identifies target behaviors, replacements behaviors, and that establishes criteria for discharge.
  • Develop an individual treatment plan for each child and young adult that addresses the target behaviors of concern by mapping the replacement of those behaviors with timelines and clear interventions that identify those responsible for implementation and the therapeutic needs to support and sustain change.
  • Maintain regular contact with families/care providers to consult on behavior presentation, skill acquisition, concerns, and success of child, and will address discharge planning through the treatment process with child and family.
  • Participate in regular treatment team meetings to support clinical improvement, case review, and staff development; Communicate regularly to other IBHS team members assigned to shared cases.
  • Monitor progress in each child and young adult at least weekly to ensure progress according to each individual treatment plan.
  • Develop a robust discharge plan using the resources provided by the IBHS leadership team to support the child, youth, young adult, and family/care providers to maintain and continue to solidify all changes.
  • Support the family and care providers to learn and practice new skills, as specified in the individual treatment team.
  • Supervise other behavior consultants, mobile therapists, and behavioral health technicians as needed in compliance with IBHS regulations.
  • Monitor training requirements including completion of individualized training plans for all staff under supervision; maintain annual training requirements as set forth in IBHS regulations.
  • This position requires the ability to travel during a normal workday to successfully carry out the expectations of this position. Therefore, the Lead Clinician must meet eligibility criteria in Motor Vehicle Policy Employee and pass the agencys substance abuse screening at any time during employment.

Requirements

Education:

  • Masters degree in social work, psychology, or related field required.

Experience:

  • One year of post master's degree experience providing behavioral health services required.

Certification and/or Licensing (Required):

  • Be licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist or clinical social worker.

OR

  • Be licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a social worker or a behavior specialist and have a graduate degree that required a clinical or mental health direct service practicum from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or have an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university that has been evaluated by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and the public; work effectively with a team and independently.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities.
  • Thorough knowledge of rules and guidelines mandated by medical assistant and managed care systems and CASSP principles.
  • Ability to effectively communicate using translation tools or resources, when providing services to bilingual or non-English speaking families, and clearly write comprehensive English only notes.
  • Proficiency in, or ability to learn and use, workplace applications, platforms, and technologies.

Salary:

  • Salary range of $50,000 to $60,000, with rates negotiated by education, and related work qualifications.
