Position Responsibilities:
Design, configure and implement large scale IT solutions working in a distributed development environment; develop high level designs for configuring requirements into systems which include various application servers, web servers, middleware servers and databases; perform detail administration for application servers overall network configurations, business rules, user interfaces and reports; actively participate in the requirements, design and system construction phases and ensure the successful operations of the network from a high level administration perspective are secure and account for security risks; participate in discussions with customers to crystallize business requirements and change requests; provide guidance to development team on all technical matters and team deliverables; ensure that systems are built for change and scalability; coordinate unit testing and integration testing with the development team and bug fixing with the testing team with input from product management; monitor key result areas and metrics on the networks; designing/coding applications following specifications using the appropriate tools and adhering to the companies coding standards; designing and developing new applications with an emphasis on minimized maintenance requirements, as well as performing maintenance and enhancement of existing applications; Interface with end-users for the purpose of design and implementation and troubleshooting problems. Employer is an IT consulting firm that assigns employees, often on short notice, to work at various project sites that cannot be anticipated significantly in advance of the assignment.
Position Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or related field plus five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate IT experience, including at least two (2) years of design & build of system networks supporting distributed development; or

Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or related field plus two (2) years of design & build of IT systems networks supporting distributed development.
