Provide subject matter expertise and technical support to all stakeholders of Eaton Electrical Services and Systems (EESS) business, including PDS, COEs (PSE, PSA, ACE) in the area of predictive diagnostics, specifically focusing on diagnostics using partial discharge methods for Medium and High voltage Class of Electrical Equipment. Equipment includes Large Rotating Machines (generators and motors), Switchgear, Transformers and Cables. Interpret specs and customer inquiries. Design technical proposals and pricing for customers. Develop and conduct specialized training for customers (internal and external). Mentor and lead other engineers on projects. Perform and act as a lead in on-site data collection, report presentations and delivery of related training where applicable. Participate in related product development programs, in order to meet the product line strategic and financial goals for the assigned projects. Provide day-to-day technical support. Author and present technical papers in relevant professional publications, conferences and forums. Interface with marketing and sales in promotion and visibility of Employer in utility, commercial and industrial markets. Provide strategic input in identification of and securing business with prospective customers. Interface with customers, sales, outside vendors, manufacturing plants, product divisions, and functional support staff in procuring respective services, consulting, and building a long-lasting relationship. Position is fixed location based in Houston office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed. Travel required to client sites as assigned approximately 25% of the time.
40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm.
Four (4) years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or related occupation working with partial discharge technology and evaluating and servicing medium voltage distribution systems and apparatuses.

Must include four (4) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
Diagnostics testing methods of electrical machines, apparatus and power cables of equipment of up to 115 (138) kV;
Partial discharge trend data analysis;
Phased Resolved Partial Discharge Analysis;
Digital communication protocols, including TCP/IP and Modbus;
Electric insulation and measurement techniques on high voltage;
Performing electrical assets reliability assessment;
Online partial discharge field test of medium voltage motor, generator and switchgears.
Requires a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a directly related field.
