Lead Environmental Asset Strategist (San Ramon, CA). Compile gas pipeline operation and maintenance project data into SAP database which include creating a maintenance plan, creating maintenance items, removing equipment, adding equipment on SAP, and updating missing equipment information on SAP. Create, read, and analyze engineering reports by interacting with gas distribution mapping and gas transmission mapping as well. Provide support to engineering team in the form of asset management. Assets in this case are all the gas equipment out in the field such as Actuators, Gauges, Valves, Instruments regulators, and RTUS. Manage preventive maintenance in SAP Work Management System per established guidance documents. Manage corrective maintenance in SAP Work Management System and ensure that applicable corrective maintenance processes are followed. Reference and follow the maintenance and construction requirements outlined in relevant documentation for installing and maintaining equipment for newly installed or out of service equipment such as Actuators, Gauges, Valves, Instruments regulators, and RTUS. Follow established protocols and procedures whenever maintenance of equipment, such as Actuators, Gauges, Valves, Instruments regulators, and RTUS is deferred. Work with supervisors and field specialists to optimize preventive maintenance programs. Identify any deficiencies or improvements in the SAP Work Management system or work processes. Review and analyze specifications of various pipe features and components to ensure compliance with codes and regulations. Runs reports in support of compliance efforts for various audits and regulators. Work in a team atmosphere to resolve issues. May perform other duties or handle special projects as assigned. Communicate project status with shareholders. Telecommuting permitted.

Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Science, Geology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 6 mo. experience as Staff Geologist or in a closely related position. 6 months experience in: Performing site observation, sample collection, compaction testing, Nuclear Moisture / Density Gauge (Testing compaction of the soil), and hand probe for field work. $61,734 - $76,960/ year.
