Lead Hardware Engineer
Domnic Lewis has mandated to Hire a Lead Hardware Engineer for a leading Product Based Company with Products like Electric Motors and Converter
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the technical design, development, and validation of electronics hardware for the hydraulics portfolio.
Ensure adherence to customer requirements, industry standards, and quality and cost considerations for the hydraulics portfolio.
Manage and provide technical leadership to a team of at least 5 hardware engineers.
Effectively influence and guide team members on complex technical issues.
Plan and coordinate hardware functional, environmental, EMI-EMC, hardware integration, and customer-related tests.
Monitor project progress and achievements, delivering regular reports on development and support activities.
Foster the development of reusable components and seek continuous improvement opportunities in mobile and industrial products.
Share knowledge within the team and work flexibly on multiple assignments or product categories simultaneously.
Collaborate with local and global suppliers for prototype development and external labs for testing.
Communicate efficiently with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills/Competencies Required:
Hold a bachelor's or masters degree in Electronics, Electronics and Communication, or Electrical Engineering.
Possess extensive experience in the full hardware development life cycle, including requirements management, design, development, verification and validation, and qualification and certification testing.
Demonstrate hands-on experience in hardware architecture design, feature and performance specifications, and 16/32-bit Microcontroller-based designs.
Have hands-on experience in designing and testing linear, SMPS, signal conditioning, and driver circuits.
Exhibit strong knowledge of EMI/EMC certification and environmental compliance, including CE and e/E markings.
Display good knowledge of IEC, CISPR, ISO, and SAE standards.
Demonstrate expertise in various communication protocols such as CAN, RS232, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, and wireless technologies.
Possess good knowledge of PCB design guidelines for SI, high-speed design, and EMI/EMC considerations.
Familiarity with Design for Functional Safety (IEC 61508), PCB designing, component engineering, EMI/EMC testing/simulation, and power electronics is advantageous.
Have practical experience in analog and digital hardware design, circuit simulations using tools like PSpice and LTspice, as well as familiarity with Polarion or equivalent, DOORS, and EDA tools.
Ability to analyze analog and digital circuits for functionality, perform FMEA, stress analysis, derating, worst-case analysis, and tolerance analysis.
Possess experience in building prototypes in-house or through external suppliers.
Proficiency in functional testing and debugging of complex hardware.
Capable of writing detailed test plans and procedures, as well as qualification test procedures.
Skilled in using various testing equipment, such as CRO, Function Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, Logic Analyzer, and Thermal Chambers.
Demonstrated track record in product development, quality assurance, reliability engineering, and robust design.
Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Experience working with cross-cultural teams in multiple locations.
