Job Summary
The Housekeeping Lead is responsible for keeping the facility clean and in good repair. Assists the Director of Plant Operations (DPO) is the supervision of the housekeeping staff. Minimal contact with patients but is responsible for keeping the open units clean.
Essential Duties:
Provide leadership to co-workers in the housekeeping department by the following:
- Assist in assigning duties & responsibilities to co-workers
- Provide DPO with information regarding the performance of co-workers for performance reviews
- On a weekly basis, maintain and update the weekly inventory of all tools & cleaning supplies
- Work with the DPO to provide training to coworkers
- Reach out to Suppliers for training needs
- Assist DPO in establishing new/improved cleaning protocols, if deemed appropriate
- Assist in establishing a schedule to routinely clean/wax the floors throughout the building
- Cleans floors in patient and non-patient areas
- Removes trash and waste from designated areas of facility
- Removes and replaces soiled linens from designated patient areas
- Maintains facility and furnishing in clean, orderly fashion
- Adheres to organizations safety, security policies and procedures
- Maintains up-to-date filing on various components of the record
- Provides good customer service and represents facility in a positive manner
- Participates in activities which enhance professional grown and development
- Uphold the Organizations ethics and customer service standards
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education and/or Licensure High school diploma or equivalent
Experience 1 year of cleaning or housekeeping experience. Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance. Customer-oriented and friendly, ability to prioritize and utilize time management skills. Must work quickly without compromising quality.
