Job Title: Lead Modeler

Location: Portland, OR (Onsite day 1)

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Job Description:

  • Collaborate with a globally distributed team on the design and development of technical solutions that have a significant, strategic, long-term impact on Financial Planning stakeholders and achieve competitive advantage for the company, aligned with the strategic objectives of Nike and future architectural standards.
  • Influence and bring strategic vision to life by working with your team and technology advisors to translate the vision into sprints and delivery plans.
  • Work with peers and technology advisors to design and deliver desired outcomes that optimize value for the enterprise through useful functionality, and efficient operations and extensibility.
  • Develops sprint plans, in partnership with peer and dependent TPMs and "Tech Leads"
  • Responsible for gathering and communicating technical outcomes to their ITC peers and validating results.
  • Collaborate with WHQ and ITC TPMs, and ITC "Tech Lead" to optimize the gathering and communication of functional and technical outcomes to the ITC team so they can comprehend, design and delivery the necessary outcomes.
  • Lead squad delivery and supports model builders/engineers throughout build.

  • Monitor squad delivery on a daily basis, generates recommendations and drives activities.
  • Reviews solutions for best practice and provides recommendations on how to make models more efficient.
  • Develop and maintain detailed solution documentation and hold the squad accountable for the same.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure the effective performance of Financial Planning solutions and their integration with adjacent and tertiary domains/solutions/technologies.
  • Lead the assessment of impacts and maintain team awareness of changes to other solutions that may affect Financial Planning capabilities and ensure there is no degradation of service.
  • Continue to learn and grow, building expertise in technical capabilities, standard processes, and methodologies (i.e., agile, continuous delivery).
  • Share knowledge effectively with the agile team and amongst relevant stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Finance or Accounting.
  • Certified Anaplan Solution Architect
  • 2+ years' experience building robust planning and data models within Anaplan.
  • 5+ years of full lifecycle FP&A solution delivery experience.
  • 5+ years' hands-on experience implementing multi-dimensional Enterprise Performance Management solutions leveraging tools like Anaplan, IBM Planning Analytics/TM1, Oracle EPB, etc.
  • 3+ years working within an Agile delivery operating model with demonstrated knowledge of Waterfall and hybrid implementation methodologies.
  • Strong Excel proficiency.
  • Has successfully led and delivered significant business solutions.
  • Strong functional knowledge of financial systems and processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise objective, mature judgement.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication.
  • Results-oriented, motivated, and self-starter.
  • Strong desire to excel and be committed to gaining exposure to multiple technologies and business functions while further developing your career.
