As the Lead PV Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our photovoltaic (PV) electrical systems, from design through to completion. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of our solar projects, making a tangible difference in the fight against climate change.

Responsibilities

As a Lead PV Electrical Engineer, your main tasks will include but are not limited to

• Designing, developing, and testing all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and machinery related to PV systems.
• Applying knowledge of electronic theory and materials properties to design and oversee the installation of PV systems.
• Coordinating with other engineering disciplines and construction team members to ensure project objectives are met.
• Reviewing and approving vendor submittals.
• Providing technical support to construction crews and field engineers, ensuring design specifications and safety standards are met.
• Leading and supervising the engineering team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Performing system modeling and energy production assessments.
• Conducting root cause analysis of technical issues, providing strategic solutions.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry developments, ensuring our systems are at the cutting edge of technology.
  
  

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you will need to possess the following

• A minimum of 4 years of PV electrical engineering experience in the solar industry.
• Extensive knowledge of AC/DC principles.
• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering management.
• Knowledge of medium voltage distribution.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and inspire a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
