JOB TITLE: Module Fabrication Planner Construction
FUNCTIONAL MANAGER: Project Controls Manager PCM (Project Line Manager)
POSITION: Fixed Term Contract 18 Months
AP LOCATION / DEPARTMENT: Module Fabrication Yard - India

POSITION SUMMARY
Air Products, along with its joint venture partners are developing a world-class project in multi
region facilities. The successful applicant will be residing at Module fabrication Yard location in India,
provide planning support and maintain schedules for Module fabrication scope. Ensure accurate and
timely reporting input to the project and work within the project applicable procedures and process
workflows. The potential candidate would have an opportunity to opt for Site Deputation to support
erection of modules.
Responsibilities:
Have a sound understanding of project scheduling techniques, schedule basis creation, WBS and CBS
structuring methodology and key work process for logic creation, cost and resource loading required
for schedule creation. (link removed)>Main responsibilities and activities include:
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager but working closely with the Module Yard
Manager.
Responsible for maintaining overall Fabrication Yard schedule & progress reports along
with responsibility for developing and maintaining detailed fabrication planning and
discipline run down curves.
Responsible for the development of the AP Fabrication Schedule and alignment with
Eng. & Fabricator Yard Schedules
Attend and present as necessary at Project Progress Meetings and Management
Interface meetings with the Client, AP management and Yard Fabricator.
Collection of information / production of monthly Status Reports.
Maintain accurate progress & earned value measurement systems to ensure credible control
throughout fabrication phase. Production of progress, productive curves and earned value
reporting.
Production / issue of formal reports (with input from Projects).
Preparing ad hoc progress reports to facilitate effective controls within Fabrication.
Provide statistical data for management reviews.
Regular project team reviews, Public Planning Meeting and Last Planner Meetings.
Initiate day-to-day discussions with all groups involved in a project to assess the change /
schedule implication of ongoing work.
Maintain and manage schedule impact of changes and ensure that they are suitably
approved and communicated.
Provide scheduling support in the impact of changes and construction change orders to
support the sub-contracts manager and the Fabrication Yard Manager
Assist project team in development of action plans to avoid / minimise cost / schedule
overruns.
Integrate Master schedule with Fabricators schedule.
Monitor Fabricators progress and provide highlights on critical items on a weekly basis.
Analyse Fabricators monthly updated schedule for any impact on fabrication critical path,
provide various analysis to help Fabrication Management in decision making.
Maintain schedule KPIs as required by the Fabrication Yard Manager.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Education bachelors degree in engineering, Numerate or related field is preferred.
Minimum of 12 years of work experience on major Construction/Fabrication projects.
Minimum of 8 years of work experience based in Module Fabrication Yards, with 3 years of
lead planner role.
General Experience: Sound knowledge, proven skills, and competencies in application of
project planning principles, methodologies and tools, supporting all phases of project
execution, particularly around schedule development, progress measurement/reporting and
earned value, within a large project-oriented EPC or Owner Organization. Must have a track
record of delivering accurate schedule information, reporting and guidance to senior
management. Experience within an Oil & Gas, Chemical processing or related business and
equivalent projects a further benefit.
Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project experience is essential.
Familiarity with Risk register is added advantage.
Determined, Adaptable and Resilient: Able to achieve success under significant pressure,
evolving requirements, and conflicting priorities.
Ability to represent AP in front of the Client, Strong communicator written `` oral.
Excellent knowledge and proficiency with the Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, Power
point, One Note)
Strong report writing skills.
Culturally Astute: Experienced and able to work with within a diverse office environment,
multi-region project execution.
