Lead QA Test Engineer
Location: Richmond, Virginia (Hybrid)
Mode of Interview: Phone + Skype
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Lead software/hardware testing effort, including experimentation, verification (QA), and validation (end to end).
Develop testing strategy and document test plan, including requirement traceability matrix.
Write experimentation and verification manual test cases to support testing plan.
Execute manual test cases and document results.
Log and track bugs through to resolution.
Interact with developers for testing results feedback.
Create and produce periodic testing status reports.
Mentor members of testing team.
Recommend and help implement best testing practices to elevate testing capability of QA Testing Team, including opportunities for testing automation.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software development, or a related field or experience
Clearance Requirement:
Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Level Clearance (not required to start)
Experience:
Hands-on experience developing and executing software & hardware frameworks.
Government testing experience on an R&D project is a plus
Experience leading and mentoring a team of Junior Testers.
Hands-on experience in OOP languages like Python, C#, etc.
Hands-on experience with one or more querying languages such as PostgreSQL (preferred), SQL, MySQL
Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
