Responsibilities of the Lead Solar Installer / Electrician:

• Install solar photovoltaic and energy storage systems including all electrical wiring and racking
• Prioritize, schedule and assign work
• Assist technicians in troubleshooting system malfunctions
• Lead project setup, including laying out materials, tool and equipment
• Oversee maintenance repair and troubleshooting of electrical systems
• Oversee, schedule and arrange work crews
• Review all project activities, work equipment and sites every day to ensure everything is performed to company standards
• Train new crew members
• Meet with other managers/supervisors to discuss issues

Requirements of the Lead Solar Installer / Electrician:

• HS Diploma/GED REQUIRED
• California Journeyman Electrician's license
• 3+ years work in solar mainly for commercial construction
• 3+ years experience around 208 and 480v AC electrical infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of Single Line Diagrams and DC Stringing Maps
• Computer proficient
• Ability to work on ladders and lifts
• Able to work on rooftops over 30' high
• Need to be able transport materials up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs with assistance
• Able to travel to projects sites
• Valid drivers license
