Role : Lead developer Location : Cincinnati, Ohio area. (No remote, no hybrid) Candidate must have experience leading a team. This role will lead a team of 2- 3 developers, direct work efforts, and contribute to the enhancements, maintenance and support of computer systems. It also requires the ability to troubleshoot issues and address concerns while identifying ways to improve the application(s) themselves. The role requires that you effectively communicate progress/problems to team members/leads as well as key business personnel which could include senior staff or executives. Interact with business users when gathering requirements, understanding support concerns, learning business processes, etc. Lead in discovery and requirements sessions internally or with business users. Elicit requirements which may require interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, use cases, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, interface analysis, task & workflow analysis, focus groups, brainstorming, and prototyping. Accurately report issues or problems with clear explanations and solutions to leadership. Interface between programmers and management and serve as technical advisor to business leads. Qualification/Requirements: Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Business (MIS) or related discipline. Ability to build relationships with team members, peers, vendors, leaders, and key individuals. Established influencing, consulting and communication skills; has the ability to influence, engage and motivate people 15+ years of experience in Information Technology within a manufacturing organization. 15+ years of experience with Outside Processors, Commercial or Financial systems 15+ years of experience with custom development and SDLC processes 5+ years of experience leading development teams 5+ years of experience in project management and common methodologies. 2+ years in practicing agile techniques Proven knowledge and experience with required languages and tools JCL, Cobol, PLI, SAS, C#, C++ Visual Studio, GIT, Micro Focus enterprise server, ZENA Proven knowledge and experience with DB2, Oracle and SQL Server.
