Job Summary



Whether you prefer the inside of a courtroom or the business side of corporate law, being a lawyer is an exciting, challenging job that keeps you on your toes at all times. Lawyers may specialize in several fields, including but not limited to international law, corporate law, criminal law, bankruptcy law or environmental law. Our lawyers are asked to represent clients in the form of individuals, corporations or small businesses. You are asked to work for the client's best interest no matter what obstacle is placed before you by gathering, analyzing and studying evidence. This job requires loyalty, problem solving skills and a desire to learn something new every day.



Job Responsibilities


  • Draw up contracts and other legal documents daily to ensure that clients are protected and that the legal process is on their side.

  • Attend any court hearings that are planned for clients in both civil and criminal courtrooms.

  • Prepare beforehand for any court hearings by interviewing witnesses, reviewing old cases and combing through the evidence of the case.

  • Negotiate cases that don't make it all the way to court in a way that both parties agree is beneficial to them.

  • Give general advice to anyone looking for a lawyer, and explain the law in a way that is easy for the average person to understand.

  • Design creative ways to market our firm and services to keep clients coming back to us whenever they need legal help.

  • Supervise paralegals or any type of legal assistant who reviews legal documents and may help on a case.

  • Adjust your schedule daily to meet the needs of your clients to be there for them whenever they need you.

Required

 

  • Practice in Business law

  • Law degree and licensing

  • Official website for business contact

  • Experience working in a law office or courtroom
