Under the direction of the RN collects data within their scope of practice, organizes, oversees, and personally conducts the delivery of patient care as directed by RN or higher-level nursing staff; acts as a team member with other professionals and Para-professionals in the delivery of patient care services; assists with the patient care plan (by collecting data); maintains medical and surgical equipment in a sanitary condition and in good operating condition; oversees the compliance with infection control and safety regulations of the hospital, acts as a liaison between the hospital and other units.
