Hingham's Loan Operations Group is looking for a Loan Servicing Specialist to accommodate our growing lending portfolio. The Loan Operations Group encompasses various critical lending departments including Loan Servicing, Residential Loan Processing, and Collections/Special Assets for distressed real estate and real estate loan assets. All departments within the Loan Operations Group are hybrid teams, based out of our Main Office. There is a significant emphasis in the group on developing scalable, compliant, best-in-class processes to support our real estate lending teams.

Role: Loan Servicing at Hingham Savings is responsible for ensuring that borrowers are adequately supported throughout their entire lending relationship with the Bank. The Loan Servicing Specialist will work under the direction of the Loan Operations Supervisor to ensure all loan maintenance, borrower inquiries, and various relevant reports are adequately addressed. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, highly organized, detail oriented and able to work independently. This role can be performed remotely, with a certain amount of time in the office.

The Loan Operations Group also plays an important role in our ongoing product development and process improvement efforts, aimed at providing a higher level of service to our customers, and may be responsible for identifying, testing, and delivering new products and services for our customers.

Responsibilities - What You'll Get to Do

• Responsible for the on-boarding process of new Commercial, Residential and Consumer mortgages
• Review critical system generated lending operation reports relating to loan payments, loan on-boarding, payoffs and determining appropriate solutions
• Process loan funding, advances, pay-downs, payoffs, discharges, performing various loan maintenance, and balance assigned General Ledger accounts
• Respond to borrower inquiries relating to billing questions, payoff requests, automatic payment set-up, and new loan set-up with superior customer service
• Coordinate with various departments such as Commercial and Retail Loan Processing, Retail Network and Digital Banking Group to research and resolve loan maintenance issues
• Assist in ensuring the integrity of the Bank's loan portfolio data, by performing initial Quality Control Reviews on loan performance data for internal modeling; identify opportunities to systematically capture additional data as part of the servicing process
• Support management, as needed, in various projects relating to improving operational efficiency within the Loan Servicing team

Requirements

• High School Diploma required
• 1+ years of loan servicing and/or financial operational experience
• Good working knowledge of General Loan Servicing rules and regulations
• Experience with Fiserv ClearTouch platform is preferred but not required
• Self-starter, possesses strong customer service and independent problem solving skills
• Strong computer skills - familiarity with Google GSuite preferred
• Attention to detail a must
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and differentiate between whats needed versus whats wanted.
• Be adept at handling multiple competing priorities and duties in a fast-paced, results-oriented, and rapidly changing environment
• Comfortable with implementing structure
• Experience working with distributed teams
