A MECM Engineer of Global Infrastructure and Technology in Houston, TX, reporting to Supervisor of Client Technology (EUC) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining Microsoft End-Point Configuration Management environment, systems vulnerability patching and deployments, architectural design for company server infrastructure and workstations. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for providing support in troubleshooting technical issues and expected to meet the established SLA's and project timelines. The MECM Engineer is expected to be an expert communicator who is confident but humble, and capable of interfacing effectively with the team and senior leadership with the focus on building a strong and successful team.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Design and deploy the release of innovative technologies. Responsible for maintaining the Microsoft Endpoint

Configuration Manager.

- Responsible for monthly vulnerability patching cycles for company systems and working with business to troubleshoot any issues as applicable.

- Evaluating, recommending and deployment of systems and support tools updates

- Reviews, advises, and designs standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, cost versus benefits and impact on the enterprise business process and goals.

- Develops and documents the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards.

- Provides technical guidance and training to IT personnel as appropriate.

- Tracks industry trends and maintains knowledge of new client technologies.

- Defines systems architecture and design for the client technology portfolio.

- Works on multiple projects as the subject matter expert, as well as working on projects / issues of high complexity that require in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments.

- Coaches and mentor junior technical staff.

- Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly management updates and reports on demand

- Support Internal/External IT software audits requests

Essential Qualifications and Education:

- 5-10 years IT experience in Client Technologies, systems vulnerability patching, workstation imaging as well as

application/software packaging and deployments

- 5+ year installing/administering/maintaining Microsoft MECM (SCCM)

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Operations Management, Management, or equivalent work

experience

- Certifications like Microsoft MCP, MCSE, or CompTIA are preferred.

- General diagnostics on the computer & diagnose software / hardware compatibility problems

- Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Office suites

- Follow processes and procedures

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft server and workstation operating systems

- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (former SCCM)

- Deep knowledge of Microsoft services like DNS (Domain Name Servers), DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), ADFS (AD Federated Services) (AD Federated Services), Group Policies, security, etc.

- Extensive knowledge and experience with PowerShell scripting, read and create script code.

- Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows 10 (and familiar with Windows 11) and automated deployments

- Extensive experience with software and application packaging and deployments

- Experience with Microsoft Auto pilot and Windows Hello rollout programs

- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks independently

- Ability to function efficiently and effectively in a complex, diverse and fast-paced operating environment.

- Ability to keep good documentation.

- Ability to follow policies and procedures.

- Ability to work as a team member as well as act as team leader

- Ability to work independently with a high degree of accountability.

- Exceptional communication capabilities both written and oral.

- Unquestionable ethics, integrity, and business judgment.

- Proven ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
