MPG Inspection Technician Location: US-NC-Greensboro Email this job to a friend

Piedmont Aviation Component Services is looking for qualified MPG Inspection Technicians(link removed) These technicians will perform the following duties: - Full understanding of the workflow process, including the scope and purpose of other departments.
- Inspection: Supervised apprenticeship in visual inspection. Works with mentor to learn intricacies.
- Becomes familiar with manuals. Keeps abreast of relative Service Bulletins.
- Tooling/Precise Measurement Landing Gear and hydraulics: Becomes proficient in precise measurement and use of instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, etc. Practices safe and appropriate use of repair tools.
- Accurately complete work orders, data inputs within ERP system.
- Read and understand Commercial, FAA, EASA, Repair Station, and ISO documentations.
- Customer Service: Project positive and professional image when in presence of customers.
- Non-Destructive Testing and Plating: Understand the purpose and scope of NDT and plating processes.
- Read and comply with work instructions.
- Write technical and accurate reports as needed.
- Work independently of others, as well as teams, while completing task on time.
- Mentor and train other personnel if needed.
- Be proactive and work in cooperation with the Crew Chief and/or Manager in obtaining the necessary skills to add value to the Shop cross-functionally and to grow job knowledge base.
- Immediately report to any supervisor any safety, quality or un-ethical actions or conditions they perceive to exist for immediate evaluation and resolution.
- Perform other duties as assigned by any supervisor.
Requirements - High School Diploma/GED minimum.
- One to two years of quality/inspection preferred
- Technical school courses in mechanic or machinist classes preferred.
- Familiarity with aviation industry is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret and follow repair instructions form OEM manuals.
- Understanding of FAA regulations.
- An aptitude for detailed mechanical work and methodical troubleshooting is essential.
- Ability to safely and properly operate Shop equipment and precise measuring equipment.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality and discretion.
- Computer skills: Basic Windows, MS Office, Quantum (which can be taught) to log onto work orders, Outlook for emails).
- Writing skills and accuracy are required for documentation.
- Work with deadlines while understanding pressure.
- Work with people and communicate (both oral and written communication) with other personnel and management effectively.
- Organizational skills.
