MRI Clinical Scientist (Boston, MA)
As part of the Philips MRI Clinical Science team in North America, you will collaborate with medical doctors and physicists at large academic hospitals, carry out advanced development and clinical science research, and evaluate new medical applications of emerging magnetic resonance technologies.
Your role:
The prime responsibility of the clinical scientist is to guide, conduct and support research and advanced clinical applications for the Magnetic Resonance (MR) product line at luminary sites in North America.
Be the expert/MR specialist on an assigned technical or clinical application area, build a network in the scientific community and report and advise about new insights and technologies within the Business Unit MR.
Drive clinical co-creation projects at designated site(s) to generate transfers of ideas, research prototypes, solutions, and IP for product development and generate evidence to support claims through scientific publications.
Be hands-on, be able to independently run the Philips MR scanners and perform volunteer and patient scanning and guide the users on Philips scanner capabilities and development tools.
Increase visibility of Philips MR program through lectures and presentation at scientific or professional international conferences as well as involvement in professional organizations.
Support dedicated training courses on research tools and clinical capabilities.
Provide guidance in the sales process to luminary customers through broad MR and clinical expertise.
You're the right fit if:
You have a Ph.D. in physics, chemistry, biomedical engineering, or other relevant technical background.
Youve acquired 1+ years of professional experience beyond a degree program, preferred.
Your skills include technical proficiency in MRI and clinical imaging, development on and advanced application of MR systems in a clinical setting, and the ability to conduct research and set up research studies.
A strong working knowledge of MRI Physics is required.
MR Pulse Programming experience is strongly desired.
Experience with data reconstruction or AI expertise are a plus.
You have strong professional communication, teaching, and presentation skills. You have strong analytical and experimental skills and are an independent problem solver. You have strong social skills in interacting with customers, direct and market colleagues, and other internal stakeholders.
