Were looking for a
Machine Learning Summer Intern
(June through August 2024) to join our Research and Development team in Burlington MA. This is an onsite internship and you must be able to work out of our Burlington Office. There are two current roles open.

This summer internship in Machine Learning Research is part of Signify Research located in Burlington, MA, a center of excellence on Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning Innovation for Signify. As part of the team you will work together with Signify Global Research and the business on AI/ML. If you are someone who always comes up with great ideas and are ready to use your creative mind to solve practical problems, this internship role may be for you. You will learn and apply new cutting-edge techniques that will be rewarding for your career. With a great freedom to innovate, you will play an active role and grow yourself on AI and ML.


What youll do:




Build innovative AI/deep learning applications that unlocks the potential of our Connected Lighting Systems. Below are some of the activities:

Survey literature on prior work and suitable AI/ML approaches to solve the given problem.

Gather, pre-process, and prepare relevant dataset and metadata.

Conceptualize, build, and validate an AI/ML workflow that becomes core part of the proposed solution.

Demonstrate (prototypes), publish (papers) and protect (patents) novel ideas.




Your Qualifications




Current Graduate-level student Masters or PhD (PhD preferred) in computer science, engineering, or other related disciplines

Open minded, curious, and innovative and aligned with our company values and aims.

Programming experience in Python or a similar language is required.

Experience with AI/ML software packages/frameworks, such as SKLearns, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, langchain, etc.

Experience with one or more of sub areas of AI/ML fields, such as time series prediction, computer vision, natural language processing, LLM, or other related fields.


Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.



This internship could lead to an at-will fulltime role.
