Snap-Tite Hose, a leading fire hose manufacturer, is seeking an Extrusion Operator for their facility in Union City, PA. The company boasts a rich history in the hose industry, with specialties ranging from firefighting to agriculture, and prides itself on delivering top-quality products worldwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the 110 Extruder in the manufacturing process, ensuring safety protocols are in place, and quality control standards are met. This is a full-time position with a starting rate of $16.00/hr. There are openings on 2nd and 3rd shift.
These are entry level positions - no experience is required. We provide on the job training.
Eligibility for holiday pay begins on your first day of employment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate the 110 Extruder
- Calibrate and adjust the machinery to ensure product specifications are met
- Monitor materials and finished products for quality and consistency
- Reports all issues/defects to department supervisor and/or maintenance
- Maintain a safe and clean work area
- Adhere to production schedules and deadlines
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic mathematical and computer skills are a must
- Strong aptitude for problem solving and has a clear understanding of machinery operations
- Ability to read and interpret work orders
- Able to work independently and as a team
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality control
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, and up to 50 lbs frequently
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
