Title: Mainframe Security Engineer with some Networking Location: Atlanta, GA/ Remote Duration: 12 months NOTE: Please share resume to IBM-RACF and CA-TSS product, mainframe, security product , specific role will be encryption project , working with application, managing digital certificate life cycle, automation in place, Looking for Mainframe Security Engineer ( Network is good to have) Job Description: Position: Mainframe Security - Encryption Consultant (Peter Mulberry Project) Description: Support the Firms directive to enable encryption for all data in transit focusing on all connections to and from the mainframe. Perform current state assessment of mainframe encryption, plan, enable encryption, and support application adoption. Develop processes to manage all phases of digital certificate lifecycle (create, maintain, delete), alerting, monitoring and automation. Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: Complete current state assessment of all mainframe access points (ingress and egress) for data in motion Perform gap analysis, determine technical approach to deliver capability of enabling encryption of data in motion, and create a prioritized plan for user/application adoption Work with Network Engineering team to implement security controls (on mainframe) to enable encryption of data in motion (certificate installations, APIs, etc) Produce and maintain project documents ensuring Project Management Office (PMO) compliance for project deliverables Monitor progress against project plans and produce metrics /reporting to track progress Interact with infrastructure and application support technology teams Required College graduate with 5+ years related work experience on the mainframe (IBM TSO and basic z/OS utilities) Strong understanding of encryption (technology solutions, protocols, best practices, etc and security concepts specific to mainframe Experience with z/OS Encryption APIs and usage/configuration of Crypto cards Experience with reporting and understanding zERT information (Collects data and Ability to work with developers to leverage APIs Experience with mainframe security software configuration/internals (IBM-RACF and CA-TSS) Ability to program in at least one command Mainframe batch and reporting language (such as: CARLA, REXX, CLIST, SAS) Capable of working independently with limited oversight Good project planning, organization, time management skills and ability to multi-task MS Office business application experience (Excel, Word, Power Point) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be a team player and foster a team first environment and culture Desired Prior experience as Mainframe Systems Programmer or Mainframe Network Engineer Prior experience with IBM z/OS TCP/IP configuration and customization
