Maintenance Engineer: Confer w/engs & other personnel to troubleshoot equip such as total stations, robotic total stations, & GNSS rovers. Read & interpret engn'g drawings, tech drawings, comp generated reports & schematics for reg maint of equip. Conduct equip testing calibration & prvide tech guidance to repair equip such as robotic total stations by testing the servo motors. Design or redesign mechanical devices, using comp aided design software (CAD) & use 3D print'g to fabricate those plastic components. Investigate & assist w/the purchasing of new equip & test reliability for efficient & effective production. Collab w/comp's personnel to est maint costs & eval other alternatives. Obsrve & monitor aspects of mechanical produc to locate the source of mech problems to later diagnose & make appropriate repairs. Maintain applicable equip calibration & health monitoring recs.Bach’s deg or Foreign deg equiv in Mech Eng. Surveyor In Training (S.I.T.) Certification. Ability to use CAD software, to read & interpret engineering drawings & technical drawings, interpret & troubleshoot GNSS &Total Station RAW data files, analyze & perform complex tests to determine errors & make approp repairs, read & understand angle signal detection plots & the ability to calibrate CCD sensors mounted on geodetic measuring systems.This pos is FT & will be stationed in San Antonio, TX.
