Job Title: Facility Maintenance Technician

Location: St. Petersburg FL 33716

Duration: 6 months (possible extensions)

Onsite- Monday- Friday 7:30 AM 4:30 PM (possible OT as required)

Job Summary:

The Mechanic is a key support function for the Manufacturing and Technical Service Areas. They are responsible for the planned and unplanned maintenance of production and plant equipment utilizing their skill and knowledge to troubleshoot, identify, and repair equipment in a timely manner. They are also tasked with the interpretation of drawings, manuals, and electronic searches to identify replacement parts for non-stock items.

Basic Function:

Facility Services incumbent will use maintenance, repair /general contractor skills to perform general maintenance on the facility.

Specific Activities, and Responsibilities:

• Makes general repairs to the buildings, both interior and exterior.
• Fabricates walls and ceilings and perform plant renovations including finish carpentry work, drywall installation, and finishing and carpet installation.
• Paint buildings and equipment as required.
• Install light equipment.
• Move furniture and equipment.
• Performs other miscellaneous duties as required.
• Maintains waste drums
• Handles non-hazardous, hazardous, and DEA waste

Education or Equivalent:

• Requires a High School diploma and a minimum of 5 years experience under a general contractor.

Knowledge/Skills Requirements:

• Experience with general carpentry, drywall installation, carpet installation, painting, and installation of light equipment.
• Experience with managing contractors preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred

Physical/Mental Requirements:

• Must be able to withstand heights, climb ladders, walk, stand, sit, kneel, and lay down to perform repairs. Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.; no lifting greater than 44.09 pounds without assistance.
