Maintenance Technician – Injection Molding

Blacksburg, VA

$20-26/hour

Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for all injection maintenance, working with hydraulics and pneumatics, electricity and controls.

Must Have:

• Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics.


• Basic knowledge in electricity and controls.


• Provincial/Industrial mechanic certification a plus.


• Ability to organize own work within the schedules.


• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing environment.


• Ability to organize and maintenance the maintenance areas and stock room.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accountable for all projects, repairs and improvements on the line as well as any mold changes.


• Ensure proper and safety work conductions with all production and related equipment.


• Improve the production equipment, utilities, efficiency and reliability.


• Recommend, plan, repair, modify and fabricate any necessary elements.


• Resolve all issues related to equipment.


• Ensure cleanliness of all equipment and related areas after repairs and PM’s.


• Assist in updating, developing and improving equipment PM programs.


• Assist with all stock of parts in the parts room.


• Ensure all tools are kept in a good and safe condition.
