Job Summary


Join the mission-driven team at the Public Health Laboratory (PHL) and promote and protect the health of all Minnesotans.

This position exists to assist with the Public Health Laboratory Infectious Disease Lab (IDL) supply procurement, inventory development, operational customer relations and cost benefit analysis. Responsibilities include:

  • Management of laboratory supplies (e.g. procurement, inventory, etc.)
  • Researching and implementing a supply inventory tracking system
  • Working with MDH buyers and IDL Senior Account Officer for annual contracts, quotes and invoices
  • Lead IDL material transfer agreement practices (submitting, routing and follow-up)
  • Providing general support and client services to IDL programs

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

To facilitate proper years of service crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.

One (1) year of experience with supply management, tracking, supply procurement, and or process verification/documentation.

Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel)

  • Masters degree may substitute for 18 months of experience; Bachelors degree may substitute for one year of experience; Associates degree may substitute for six months of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent written and verbal skills.

Human relation skills sufficient to achieve effective working relationships within the agency and externally.

Experience with supply chain coordination.

Experience in managing and coordinating buying, delivery process of goods or services and the placement of supply orders within facility.

Knowledge to identify management software options, review software programs and recommend potential software applications for automizing supply inventory.

Knowledge with supply management, tracking, supply procurement, process verification/documentation Power BI and management software (PRISM, SWIFT, LIS).

Physical Requirements

Occasional transportation of up to 25 pounds
