Job Description

Your role:


Consolidating the financial entities' reporting and producing (IFRS compliant) external reports for X Group, including re-statements. This encompasses balance sheet statements, profit & loss statements, cash flow statements, and other disclosures in quarterly press releases and the annual report.

Delivering internal reports on business performance, including monthly performance, quarterly forecasting, and the annual operating plan.

Acting as the competent partner for the finance function in segments/businesses and markets, providing reporting expertise and support.

Preparing and coordinating presentations for the executive management and finance leadership on external and internal reporting topics.

Issuing finance instructions to support the preparation, publishing, and distribution of reporting booklets.

Investigating data irregularities and driving corrective actions.

Leading improvement projects, particularly in financial processes and IT (e.g., M&A).

Preparing and supporting knowledge sharing initiatives to ensure 'first-time right' results.

Participating and contributing to cross functional teams handling the accounting practices of specific topics end-to-end, considering accounting processes and the internal control framework.

Cooperating with colleagues connected with Technical Accounting, Accounting Operations, Financial Planning & Analysis representatives with knowledge of the different sectors and other finance functions depending on the topic.

Group Consolidation and Reporting (GC&R) is part of ARIC (Accounting, Reporting and Internal Control) and is responsible for consolidation and financial reporting of Royal Philips. Besides reporting, various initiatives are initiated by GC&R such as finance knowledge management and improvement projects on accounting and reporting structures. We participate in various review and analysis meetings and project teams. As such, we are part of all significant events happening throughout Royal Philips.

The team is based at the Philips Center in Amsterdam and has a size of approximately 20 persons of various nationalities. There is a strong collaboration between the GC&R team in Amsterdam and the Accounting Operations team in the Global hub in Chennai (India). The team members have high education (in general master+). We are known for giving a warm welcome to newcomers and giving a boost to your knowledge and insights.

Teamwork will be intense, our processes are smart and efficient and our output is instantly used throughout the finance function. You will work with various stakeholders across the globe, ranging from Accounting Operations, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and Group Functions (especially Group Legal and Group Tax). Our work is highly valued.


You're the right fit if you have the following skills and experience:


A masters degree in Finance (preferably accounting or business economics) followed by a post-masters degree (Register Controller, Register Accountant).

Around 2-3 years of relevant experience in an international reporting environment.

Knowledge of IFRS, combined with strong financial statement accounting experience.

Six Sigma experience/LEAN experience (certification is a plus).

Good knowledge of ERP systems, preferable SAP solutions (SAP BCS, S4Hanna) and a strong skill set in data analysis.

You have experience with new trends in IT (RPA processes)

High level of empathy and a strong sense for cultural differences. You know how to bridge these differences.

Excellent communication and analytical skills, work accurately and with a structured approach.

Fluent in English.
