Manage internal relationships with various commercial, operations, accounting and legal divisions to proactively provide consistent financial perspective and decision support, often working as an internal consultant; Identify, evaluate, and implement opportunities along with determining the strategic merits of financial, commercial, and operational initiatives and present recommendations, insights and/or gain approval for capital investments to senior leadership; Responsible for the analytics, strategy development, transaction execution, project/change management, and relationship management surrounding the short term and long term company-wide initiatives; Analyze, maintain, and enhance planning and forecasting models for internal and external parties; Assess the performance of existing initiatives, evaluate new opportunities and craft creative solutions that drive continuous improvement for American Airlines network, operations, and commercial teams; Align teams around commercial strategies, key objectives and success metrics, maintaining clear communication across teams, and ensuring cross-functional actions are completed; Provide support to Investor Relations, Treasury and Senior Management in the Finance organization on ad-hoc requests; Maintain a comprehensive database of industry financial results, and deliver competitive insights that assist management in developing or altering strategic and financial objectives; Identify and pursue opportunities to create value for the company through project leadership and well-grounded analytical insights; Prepare packages for Board of Directors meetings; Meet frequently with upper management to share insights on competitive performance.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 a.m.-5 p.m./M-F. Job Location: Ft. Worth, TX 3 years of experience as Analyst, Engineer, or any occupation in which the required experience was gained, and demonstrated experience in: Data analytics with financial modeling; Large project management with direct interaction with executive leaders; CapitalIQ and Pitchbook; Build and standardize processes; Conducting research and analysis of historical data and providing recommendations for complex problems; Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook; Presenting analyses, findings, and strategies to leadership and develop presentations materials for the board of directors; Assessing investment opportunities through company valuation and mergers and acquisitions processes; DCF, NPV, and cash flow analysis; Reviewing SEC filings and analyze financial statements to understand a companys financial performance; Negotiating deal terms for investments; Working on cross-functional and inter-departmental projects with multiple stakeholders, including corporate leadership; Developing the analysis of complex issues and building advanced financial models using regression analysis, sensitivity analysis, forecasting and data modeling to recommend potential solutions to business problems and quantifying financial impact of various scenarios. Masters degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field. A Bachelors degree plus 5 years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a masters degree plus 3 years of experience.
