We are seeking a Full-Time Manager, Internal Controls & SOX Compliance to join our lean and agile team. This role will work out of our Mesa, Arizona location at 8127 E. Ray Rd, Mesa, AZ 85212(link removed) The primary purpose of this job is to perform risk and control assessments over the organizations financial and information systems, assessing compliance with applicable standards, guidelines, and sufficiency of internal controls. This person will own all intern control planning and testing, internal control and process documentation, and coordination with external audit on internal controls.

• Perform risk assessment of internal control environment.
• Identify gaps in control design and implement policies and procedures to mitigate
• Design and implement annual audit testing program.
• Lead testing of the companys internal control environment, assessing compliance with data security and storage requirements.
• Conduct internal control training as needed.
• Drafts and present reports of findings and analysis; identifies and recommends revisions and improvements to accounting practices and procedures.
• Periodic reporting to senior leaders of the Company (e.g., CEO/CFO) as well as the Audit Committee.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

• This role will be required to work in prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in accounting required.
• Three years of related experience required.
• Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Extensive knowledge of information systems security.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Executive presence and ability to effectively communicate to senior leadership.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Biased to take action and comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
• Experience with SAP (preferred).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
