Purpose of Role

Together with your line manager, this role will be responsible for managing and growing the license business across APAC with a focus on licensees in Mainland China.
The key task of this individual is to manage the seasonal creation process and approvals with our APAC licensees. Most of this individuals task will be focused on concept, design & sample approval, and quarterly business reviews with these licensees. You will also be working with Global Product & Licensing teammates to ensure that our licensee partners are designing and creating products that are unique and innovative to the marketplace. Lastly, you are also in charge of ensuring licensees maintain Brand integrity.
Success in this role is defined by assisting in the creation of products that deliver newness, differentiation, and innovation while growing the licensees market share and royalty income.
Your Impact

Collaborating with external licensees on their seasonal strategy, line architecture and product design. You will be influencing their product design and architecture from concept to market.
Presenting licensee design documents (designs, protos, samples) to Global teammates and facilitating the design, sales and calendar discussions between Global teammates and licensing partners from concept to market.
Reviewing of seasonal protos, samples and strike off to ensure that products are uniquely designed and well made. You will assist your line manager in ensuring that products made are brand right from a fabric, graphics, and trim selection. Products must be commercially viable for the China market as well.
Seasonal calendar creation and management of milestone between Global, Regional, and external parties.
Conduct regular market trend research, consumer research, consumer insights testing, industry, and competitive analysis. Know the core consumer and where the competition plays at every price point.
You will support your line manager on quarterly business reviews with the licensees. These reviews will be focus on sales, inventory, in store product execution and tracking of royalty income for UA APAC
Qualifications

Candidate must have a good understanding of the apparel creation process (Fits, fabrics, and graphic techniques)
The preferred candidate should have category/merchandising experience from an outdoor brand and/or managed outerwear product before
Demonstrated ability to delivery results in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment, including the following skills: proactive; self-starter; team player
Fluent in English and Mandarin. Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing across departments, with peers and leadership in both English and Mandarin
Proficient at Microsoft tools, especially excel
Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in product creation, tech design, merchandising or Licensing
