Location: Marin County, CA

Salary Range: $82,034 - $98,441 (USD) Annually

What the Manager, Regional Center Services will do:

The Manager of Regional Center Services reports to the Director and provides management direction, oversees case management, and advocates for the GGRC Marin County office. This position also supervises the forensic social work team, providing support in legal and social work areas.

Where will I work?

The job is based at the Marin County Office and requires local travel within the Counties of San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin. There will be occasional statewide travel to various sites throughout California. It is essential to have access to reliable transportation that allows for travel between different locations throughout the day to fulfill the responsibilities of the position effectively.

What youll Do:

Manage Regional Center Services to Individuals and Families

In this role, you will manage Regional Center Services to individuals and families, ensuring the delivery of clinical and social work services. You will oversee staff expectations, policy interpretation, resource development, quality assurance, and representation in informal hearings. You will also draft and implement internal procedures, manage the POS function, coordinate premises issues, and interface with individuals served and service providers. Additionally, you will support the forensic team, assess processes, realign procedures, and provide leadership for organizational changes at the County level.

Manage Staff

  • Oversee hiring and supervision of social work staff, including those on forensic caseload
  • Manage workflow and ensure goals are met
  • Conduct regular group and individual staff meetings for information dissemination and feedback
  • Provide leadership to optimize time and resources
  • Supervise hiring and management of office assistant staff
  • Recommend training and professional development opportunities for staff
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations

Ensure Quality Management

  • Coordinate with peers to establish data collection systems for assessing the effectiveness of regional center services.
  • Exemplify and communicate the agency's strategies and performance standards for the outcomes of individuals served.
  • Inform staff about the performance success of the County Office.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with state and agency requirements for services provided.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to monitor services funded by GGRC and delivered by vendored agencies, ensuring alignment with the agency's vision and values.

Community Outreach

  • Act as a community liaison and representative of the agency to address community-based concerns and needs.
  • Make recommendations for training programs for providers and individuals served within the community.
  • Coordinate with the Vendorization Department to identify and recruit specialized vendors to meet community needs.
  • Provide public information and education about regional center services and the needs of constituents.
  • Conduct research and make recommendations on draft Memoranda of Understanding and similar agreements with other community organizations to better serve individuals served.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in special projects, and assist with additional duties or tasks, as assigned.
  • Maintain all client information as confidential in compliance with the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and the California Lanterman Act

Who You Are:

  • Ability to operate basic office equipment, including scanners, copiers, faxes, phones.
  • Basic familiarity with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook or similar software applications.
  • Ability to interpret and apply a variety of legal requirements and policy standards.
  • Ability to prepare statistical and narrative reports.
  • Knowledge of the principles of advocacy and community organization.
  • Ability to effectively run meetings, soliciting input from attendees while maintaining focus and structure.
  • Strong time management skills for self and others.
  • Experience in the Regional Center System
  • Experience in multi-cultural settings and/or multi-lingual capacity

Requirements

Manager, Regional Center Services Required Qualifications:

Education & Training:

  • Masters degree in social work or related human services field
  • Graduate degree in Management, Human Services with emphasis in Management or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Significant course work towards a graduate degree in management and/or business administration may be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage within a dynamic environment with successful results-oriented outcomes.
  • 5+ years post-graduate work in dynamic organizations, non-profit experience
  • 3+ years of management/leadership experience in a Human Services or related field
  • Previous work experience in a Regional Center a plus
