Manager Research Analyst Sustainable Investments

Mercer has an exciting new opportunity for an Analyst to work within the Investment Manager Research team based in London as part of a global team.
The team has a high profile within the business and within the asset management industry.

What can you expect?
You will work with the Manager Research team across a number of areas supporting Manager Research with investment due diligence of sustainability focused investment strategies across asset classes including contact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders

We will count on you to:
Carry out ad hoc analytical/research work as directed by research team, including sustainability related analysis, and monitoring of highly rated managers
Prepare written reports on investment managers and their strategies including qualitative and quantitative analysis of a managers investment strategy across a broad range of metrics.
Deal with routine queries from investment managers and investment consultants as appropriate
Work with the Manager Research team on asset class, strategy specific or thematic research projects
Contribute to the team more broadly on intellectual capital and investment topics.

What you need to have:
A broad understanding and interest in working in the investment industry with some specific interest in or experience in sustainable investment
A solid academic background and interest in further studies (i.e. CFA or equivalent).
A strong demonstrated interest in sustainability. This could be through studies/internships/extra curricular projects etc..
Strong analytical skills and ability to undertake complex data-driven projects
A team player, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong planning and organisational ability with an attention to detail in order to prioritise and complete work in accordance to deadlines
Proven ability to communicate views orally and write concise and logically argued research reports in a timely manner, sometimes to tight deadlines
