The role
The Operations Manager, Customer Supply Chain will oversee the team responsible for receiving, processing, and ensuring accuracy of customer orders. This role will work with senior leadership to ensure customer priorities are known. The Operations Manager will track the accuracy, timeliness, and other metrics of the team ensuring internal standards are met. The manager should act as a leader ensuring internal teams from the warehouse, inventory management, and accounting are communicating effectively, with the goal of fulfilling orders and getting them invoiced as efficiently and accurately as possible. Additionally, this role will lead communication to the buyers and merchants for the companys top retail accounts on a weekly basis.
Key responsibilities
Ensure orders are being entered and reviewed timely.
Discuss and prioritize order fulfillments.
Monitor and report metrics on time and accuracy of order fulfillment.
Lead the review and resolution of customer issues.
Hold weekly meetings with top customers to discuss fulfilment timing and issues.
Work closely with the Inventory Control and Logistics teams to ensure variances related to order issues are minimized.
Act as a key problem solver and the go to person for day-to-day distribution issues related to last minute orders and issues resulting from production timing.
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on key metrics.
Key skills and experience required
Bachelors degree in business, supply chain or related field.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize while communicating effectively.
Ability to accurately execute solutions and new processes implemented to ensure an efficient system.
Excellent Microsoft excel skills.
5+ years experience in supply chain operations.
Ability to lead and coach a team.
Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
Ability to work cross-functionally and present summary level information to key stakeholders.
