Creative Learning Systems/SmartLab Learning is looking for a Manager of Business Development to lead a team of Business Development Representatives through training, coaching, and administrative/operational support. The Manager of Business Development will also act as a liaison between the Sales and Marketing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Train members of the BDR Team to identify, contact, and create qualified opportunities
  • Ensure the BDR team consistently meets and exceeds weekly activity metrics and goals for scheduling introductory meetings for the sales team
  • Ensure BDR Team members improve performance and abilities over time by providing coaching and feedback in recurring weekly 1:1s
  • Hire new BDRs when needed
  • Build an onboarding and training plan for incoming BDRs
  • Work closely with the Marketing Team to provide feedback on MQLs and campaigns
  • Work closely with Sales and other members of the CLS Leadership team to improve opportunity management and qualification processes
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing Leadership, to identify areas of improvement for the BDR teams
  • Work in collaboration with Marketing and the Product & Academics team to develop effective messaging to convert inbound and outbound interest into qualified pipelines
  • Accurately forecast weekly, monthly, quarterly attainment
  • Learn and effectively communicate the Creative Learning Systems value story
  • Understand the different buyer personas within a school/district and how we can support their initiatives
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM and Salesloft engagement platform to manage all prospecting and reporting activities
  • Collaborate and develop strong relationships with sales and marketing counterparts
  • Use creativity to innovate new ways to reach decision-makers within K-12 schools

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Three or more years of sales related experience required
  • One or more years of experience managing a team of BDRs or similar role required
  • Hunters mentality and competitive spirit
  • Experience in leveraging Artificial Intelligence to increase efficiency in top of funnel outreach preferred
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or customer service for a technical product - leadership experience is highly preferred
  • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred)
  • Experience in Sales Engagement Platforms (Salesloft) preferred
  • Strong communication skills
