This organization is a mission-driven Global Data Pipeline Platform that operates as a start-up under the umbrella of a major university. They offer great benefits and work life balance! Their main objective is supporting scientific research for government, academic and commercial organizations in several different fields of study, such as life sciences, physics and astronomy. They provide specific cloud-based software application and platform services used by thousands of researchers to manage their growing data management challenges. The easiest way to describe it would be a combination of a Dropbox and AWS/GCP Consul used by researchers and academics.

They're looking for someone with extensive DevSecOps experience, who has managed a team of Systems, DevOps and Security engineers before. While they would like someone skilled in compliance and security, having the hands-on and managerial DevOps/AWS experience is the most important component of this role. Your focus will be on making sure there is a strong and reliable foundation for the organization's research data management platform and any other services provided.
