This position is responsible for all external reporting including preparation of SEC compliant financial statements, technical accounting and analysis, establishment and documentation of accounting policies and establishment of internal controls over financial reporting. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Finance and works side by side with the Assistant Controller.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Proactively research and document certain technical accounting issues and policies; effectively articulate the Company's positions for critical accounting issues with external auditors and internal stakeholders
  • Draft technical accounting memos outlining the Companys position and impact to its disclosures and collaborate with the financial operations team in the implementation of new standards
  • Own the preparation of the consolidated financial statements and footnote disclosures on a quarterly and annual basis, as necessary, under public company accounting standards and establish related controls
  • Be a key contributor in the Companys preparation to potentially be a public company by researching disclosure requirements and preparing registration statements, as requested
  • Integral player in the drafting of MD&A and assist in preparation of quarterly earnings releases
  • Manage the planning process and the risk assessment of internal controls over financial reporting; draft and/or formalize policies processes and controls documentation
  • Maintain corporate disclosure controls and procedures and facilitate effective meetings of the Disclosure Committee and preparation of materials for Audit Committee Meetings
  • Maintain and own SEC reporting and Compliance software tools
  • Oversee equity accounting and reporting including calculations for weighted average shares outstanding, diluted shares, EPS and stock-based compensation expense

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience Required:

  • 6+ years with a minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience, CPA license
  • Strong technical accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP
  • Experience preparing technical position papers that document policies in a concise and comprehensive manner
  • Capability to be a key contributor to SOX documentation and the development of the Companys overall control environment
  • Experience with XBRL, HTML, financial reporting tools, and key accounting and reporting tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency with Excel

Preferred:

  • Extensive experience preparing and filing quarterly and annual SEC filings, including drafting financial statement footnotes, statement of cash flows, stockholders' equity, EPS, pro forma financial statements, and familiarity with non-GAAP financial information

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Indoor open office environment or remote

  • Frequent repetitive motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers, such as keyboard and mouse usage

TRAVEL:

  • Occasional travel, domestic and international, may be required, less than 5%

Salary: $150,000 - $200,000. Depending on experience and location.
