Roles and Responsibilities:


Weare seeking aManager of Process Engineering LNGto lead our LNG Process Engineering Team within the LNG Technology and Equipment Business located at our Allentown PA headquarters.

The Manager of Process Engineering LNG position is accountable for all aspects of process engineering and process design work for the development and execution of our LNG Process Cycle and Equipment offerings.

The incumbent leads the process engineering team and accountabilities include bid and project execution engineering support, functional support for product development and technology initiatives, resource planning and personnel development. Advanced process technology is at the very heart of our value proposition to the LNG industry, and as such, this position has significant influence over key aspects of our offerings and approach to our customers.



Required Skills / Abilities:


The incumbent works closely with the LNG Business Area, Mechanical Design, Project, Proposals, Technology, and Products teams, as well as our customers, to develop Air Products technical scope for all LNG Process initiatives. These include paid studies, front end engineering and design contracts, and equipment sales to projects for natural gas liquefaction plants ranging from small peak shaver plants to large world-class baseload plants, as well as aftermarket services process offerings.
Responsible for the technical quality of the process cycle and equipment designs, resource planning, standards development, maintenance of engineering tools and templates, project execution, and career development as well as support and oversight of product development and product quality improvements.
Continuous improvement of the LNG heat exchanger process design and robustness as well as the related work processes and require working closely with the mechanical and manufacturing teams to reduce cost and cycle time while improving profitability.
The position also includes both technical and managerial supervision of process engineers carrying out the process design and service work as well as frequent communication and one on one interaction with external customers.
The position is also accountable for the successful implementation of new process technology including technology for Floating LNG (FLNG), mid-size LNG plants, nitrogen rejection units (NRUs), coil wound heat exchanger modularization process scope, and more environmentally-friendly LNG facilities.
Process safety leadership is also a key aspect of this role.
The position requires very significant interface with EPCs and Customers and requires some degree of international travel (20%)


Education and Licensing Requirements:


Incumbent is expected to have a B.S. and preferably a masters degree in chemical engineering.
10 years of experience in process engineering management or leadership roles.
Proven Leadership Abilities Track record of people development
5 years of experience in the LNG or hydrocarbon processing industry
Experience in interfacing with Technology, Engineering, Operations and Commercial organizations worldwide
Experience interfacing with customers and engineering companies
Communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with and influence people with positivity from all cultures and at all organizational levels, inside and outside of Air Products
Ability to succeed in a fast paced, dynamic working environment.
Successful candidates must have ability to multi-task and quickly turnaround work/requests.
Experience in intellectual property portfolio management and patent filing
