Our growing boutique consulting firm is seeking a Managing Partner to assist with sales, business development and client engagement management.



 



Our firm provides outsourced/fractional corporate finance and growth strategy services to institutional investors and investor-backed companies across strategy, finance and M&A initiatives.



 



Client work is primarily remote/virtual and includes: Financial planning, analysis, and modeling, Valuations & Capital raising, Commercial Due Diligence and Competitive Strategy, Buy-side & sell-side advisory and M&A, Fractional CFO & Executive (or Interim) Leadership, Operations Performance Improvement & Turnaround



 



We are building a pipeline of prospective clients, driven by our current business development team.



 



The Managing Partner will be expected to provide a mix of leadership and support for:




  • Client lead generation alongside our business development team

  • Client proposal development, engagement negotiation support, and closing new clients, leveraging our bench of senior consultants

  • Client engagement supervision

  • Business Development team recruitment, onboarding, training and management

  • Firm infrastructure development (e.g. processes and templates) in support of engagements and consultant team management



 



Compensation:




  • For sales & business development:  Initially, will be success-based, as percentage of new client retainers, which will range from $10K-$200K+ per engagement.

  • For engagement supervision on closed deals:  $125-$200 per hour.



 



Relevant Backgrounds:




  • Senior-level business development executives from top tier management consulting firms (e.g. Bain, McKinsey, BCG)

  • Senior-level investment banking origination at bulge bracket firm (e.g. Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley)

  • Senior-level private equity and/or venture capital experience at top tier fund (e.g. Blackstone, KKR, Carlyle, Sequoia, Kleiner Perkins, Accel)

  • Successful entrepreneurs who have built and exited ventures

  • Operating partners at PE funds

  • Senior Sales & Business Development executives across industry verticals
