Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer 3
Location: Mapleton, IL
Description:
Summary:
The main function of a manufacturing engineer is to apply engineering theory and principles to
problems of industrial layout or manufacturing production. A typical manufacturing engineer has the
ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints.
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, manufacturing, materials science, or related technical field OR
minimum 7 years of job-related experience (quality, manufacturing, engineering)
Technical Skills
(Required)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including PowerBI
- 6Sigma problem solving toolkit
- Knowledge of shop operations and maintenance procedures
(Desired)
- Knowledge of Caterpillar quality and manufacturing systems such as EtQ, Infinity, Redi, Dozuki, etc.
- General understanding of metallurgical processes and testing
- Hands on and mechanically and/or electrically inclined
Soft Skills

- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
