Job Description
Job Title: Project Manager Department::Purchasing Schedule: Full Time Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Materials Manager Version Date: September 22, 2023 1.0 Summary
This position is responsible for management of projects including allocating material, maintaining project schedules, implementing policies and procedures, and coordinating efforts between multiple departments to ensure project completion on time and on budget. 2.0 Essential Functions Under supervision of Materials Manager, assist with the planning, directing, and monitoring of projects. - Assist with issues of project scope, resource availability, and deadlines.
- Work closely with Production Manager in the coordination and expediting of work and materials within or between departments according to the production schedule.
- Assist in resolving a variety of purchasing issues/problems.
- Support special projects in response to various customer and management requests for one-of-a-kind projects.
- Ensure drawing revisions are communicated to all affected departments and verify that accurate information is provided.
- Provide other support to production and management as required, including but not limited to providing a weekly progress and production analysis report.
- Set up work orders and prepare purchase orders to complete project.

5.0 Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. 6.0 Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc. standard software including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat, and specialized software such as in- house MRP/ERP system. Requirements
7.0 Physical and Mental Requirements
- The employee must use hands and fingers and reach with hands and arms and must be able to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.
- The employee must be able to lift 30 pounds.
- The employee must have specific vision abilities required by this job including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
- The employee must have the ability to sit for long periods of time.
- This position requires peak mental ability and the ability to intensely concentrate for extended periods of time.
- The employee must have the ability to work long hours, handle conflicts, and make decisions under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.

- Full-time
- Non-Exempt from Overtime; must track all time worked and is paid in accordance with federal and state guidelines.
- Hours will be determined based on production and office schedules. Shop is currently Monday Friday 6:30 am 3:00 pm and office is Monday Friday 8:00 am 5:00 pm.
9.0 Travel
Travel is not required for this position. Required
10.0 Required Education and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in similar field
- Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience (not required, but preferred)
- Knowledge of complete manufacturing process, including mechanical and structural design, development, welding, assembly, hydraulics, load testing, engineering calculations, and material selection.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Proficient in MS Office
11.0 Preferred Education And Experience
- Project Management experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
12.0 Work Authorization
