As a Market Development Representative for Import.io, you will have the opportunity to join a company that unlocks a world of web data, delivering it directly to enterprises to fuel business insight and competitive advantage. The company is highly scalable, extracting, preparing and integrating high-quality, comprehensive web data into customers' analytics platforms and business applications. We deliver data to over 800 enterprise customers from millions of web sources. The Market Development Representative will help us continue to fuel our growth by being a conduit between marketing and sales. You will be responsible for generating leads and our self-service growth by helping customers find the best solution.
Responsibilities - Develop and execute strategies to identify and generate leads in the target market.
- Proactively contact potential customers through multiple channels to generate interest in Import.io.
- Qualify and assign leads to the outside sales team after an in-depth understanding of the customers' needs and requirements.
- Document all activities, contacts, and opportunities in the company's CRM system.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of leads and opportunities, tracking progress through to closure.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to optimize conversion rates and increase sales.
- Provide feedback to the product and engineering teams based on customer feedback and interaction.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a sales, marketing or customer service role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of an organization.
- Strong organizational, time management and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing automation tools (e.g. Hubspot, Salesforce, Marketo) is a plus.
