This is an exciting time to work for Amarillo College! We are seeking our next Marketing Brand Manager who will be all-in our mission and who will create aesthetically pleasing graphic designs that support the college brand and marketing campaigns. Within a team environment, this individual will conceptualize and implement marketing strategies, create promotional campaigns, and evaluate their effectiveness. They will be responsible for translating and communicating the colleges marketing and recruiting objectives into brand-specific messages in print and digital mediawhile ensuring brand integrity and continuity across all marketing channels. Reporting to the Media Director, they will design and produce graphic print, video, and digital projects conceptualized in the Communications & Marketing department. Their duties include meeting with clients across the organization to establish marketing material needs, using design software to complete projects, and revising projects based on client feedback.

GENERAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

  • Required: Bachelors Degree in Graphic Art, Design, Marketing, Business, or Communications

EXPERIENCE:

  • Required: Five (5) - Ten (10) years of marketing experience in a corporate, agency, or education setting, graphic design and management, contract negotiation, and budget/financial management

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Create and implement a brand supported by a marketing plan.
  • Develop and maintain a cohesive brand standard and aesthetic for all platforms.
  • Use technical/creative/artistic graphic design, photography, and video production skills to create materials to support marketing efforts.
  • Oversee the printing of brochures, posters, and collateral materials.
  • Develop graphics for print, web, and social media.
  • Act as a college liaison with outside printers, vendors, and other departments such as Panhandle PBS, FM90, Amarillo College Foundation, etc.
  • Work closely with the AC Web Content team.
  • Control costs of projects and staying within budgetary guidelines.
  • Participate in and complete performance assessments/evaluations as assigned; and

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to work under stress and/or meet rigorous deadlines.
  • Excellent conceptual marketing skills.
  • Excellent graphic design skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to tell stories through visual media.
  • Ability creating and package print-ready art.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong copy writer.
  • Ability to create quickly, under strenuous timelines.
  • Ability to efficiently manage many diverse projects simultaneously.

Salary: Amarillo College - Salary Schedules((link removed), Pay grade 12 (salary is determined by human resources based on education, work experience and equity).

Work Conditions: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule (days, nights, weekends, holidays and varying events as necessary.) Timely and regular attendance for all employees is required to ensure adequate staffing and to meet expected productivity standards throughout the organization.

Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, crouch, crawl, reach, pull, push, and use hands to finger, handle or feel.
