The Marketing Communications Intern will assist in organizing company events and Kestra's participation in industry trade shows, as well as supporting the marketing team in executing various marketing and communications requests and initiatives.

At the conclusion of the internship, the intern will have a clear understanding of how their studies directly contribute to their course of study and/or the medical device industry.

This is a part-time summer internship position (less than 30 hrs a week), working with the Marketing team at Kestra.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Project: The Marketing Communications Intern will work as part of the Marketing Communications team and liaise with Clinical and Product Marketing to drive Kestras event design, exhibit logistics, and planning at a premier industry professional scientific conference. Responsibilities will include coordination of various event details and related media projects, as well as on-site support and planning for post-event reporting
  • Project Management Support: Assist in the creation of marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, and presentations
  • Communications Support: Assist with public relations activities, such as drafting press releases
  • Branded Promotional Products Support: Evaluate and recommend branded promotional products that align with Kestras brand and marketing objectives
  • Project Presentation: Present internship project results and findings to the Marketing team and Kestra executive leadership at the conclusion of the internship

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience Required:

  • 2nd year or higher undergraduate in a business degree
  • Strong desire to learn and professional drive
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Basic understanding of different marketing techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Adaptability to working style and inputs and enthusiasm to produce high-quality marketing materials

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Indoor open office environment
  • Minimal noise volume typical to an office environment
  • Extended/overtime hours when needed
  • Drug-free

INTERNSHIP ELIGIBILITY:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past 6 months
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment with Kestra Medical Technologies
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must provide own transportation to/from work
  • Must successfully complete and pass a criminal and employment background screening that meets the allowable FDA requirements and is in accordance with EEOC rules and regulations
  • Must successfully pass a pre-internship drug screen

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Frequent repetitive motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers, such as keyboard and mouse usage
  • Frequent stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • Frequent computers use
  • Frequent phone and other business machine use
  • Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds

TRAVEL:

  • Occasional travel, domestic and international, may be required, less than 15%

Benefits

Pay: $22.50/hour
