Marketing Director Role Summary


 

The Marketing Director is responsible for the coordination and execution of all daily marketing operations. The ideal candidate will be independent, quick on their feet, and can juggle several projects without losing sight of long term goals. 



You will execute on marketing plans, develop the brand and consistent verbiage for all marketing and public-facing communications.

Marketing & Communications Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to establish and evaluate business metrics and performance benchmarks for marketing programs and help build thought leadership and marketing capabilities.


 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities


 



  • Create and write content for communications and collateral materials including, but not limited to, brochures, print and digital ads, press releases, email marketing, and all outward communication, ensuring brand and mission continuity




  • Use research to develop, implement and measure strategies




  • Spearhead efforts to increase SEO visibility and oversee social media marketing strategy and content marketing campaigns




  • Develop and manage advertising campaigns




  • Build brand awareness and positioning




  • Support sales and lead generation efforts




  • Oversee digital and traditional marketing campaigns




  • Oversee and identify industry conference attendance and speaking opportunities




  • Develop and implement media relations strategies, including liaising with media, publishers, and partners to pitch and disseminate content




  • Define and execute marketing communication strategy and plans with clear objectives recommended media channel choices and success metrics




  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns effectively, utilizing a variety of media tactics (including newer non-traditional growth tactics)




  • Working with our sales management to create relevant sales promotions and contests.




  • Planning and executing social media campaigns, ensuring they adhere to corporate goals and messaging, and measuring campaign effectiveness.




  • Involvement in managing our digital assets, including our website, blog, and email campaigns.




  • Organizing and planning meetings and trade shows, identifying resources needed, developing agenda and schedules, and coordinating the execution.






Essential Skills



Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills** A must.



Healthcare experience preferred.

Excellent verbal communication skills

Excellent time management, project management, organization and planning skills

Excellent attention to detail

Strong understanding of digital and traditional marketing, communications, public relations, SEO and social media trends

Strong knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, GoToMeeting, Wordpress, social media platforms, press release software



Ability to work independently and as part of a team



Imaginative and thrive in environments where people can share ideas and use each other as sounding boards to find creative solutions


 

Qualifications



Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or other relevant fields

10+ years’ experience in marketing, communications and public relations

Experience in the healthcare industry a huge plus
