Nextern is hiring for the role Marketing and Communications Manager(link removed) This role comes with competitive pay and a full benefits package (details below)

The Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for developing, planning, budgeting, and implementing effective marketing and communication strategies for all of Nexterns business units.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build and manage a strategic plan and budget for marketing and communications activities at Nextern.
• Engage cross-functional teams to implement strategies for integrity and promotion of the Nextern brand.
• Recurring marketing updates including: positioning, messaging, talking points, sales collateral and program activities using market research and insights.
• Define and implement promotional activities and awareness campaigns for new company initiatives, including the management of conference and tradeshow attendance.
• Collaborate and strategize with other functional areas, such as: sales, engineering, human resources, and executives to ensure fulfillment of internal and existing/potential customer needs.
• Develop, facilitate, maintain, and nurture internal communication between leadership and employees, including but not limited to quarterly internal town halls and weekly company updates email.
• Manage and drive our culture through employee engagement events and communication.
• Lead and support programs that enhance inclusion, representation, and our culture, building connection for our people with each other and with the company.

• Outside marketing vendor evaluation, selection and management for outsourced work, application development, testing platforms, SEO, and similar.

• Work with engineers, project managers, and people managers to create compelling stories that inspire and educate our existing and potential customers.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Communications and/or Marketing from a four-year college or university, and 2-5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Computer skills required: Internet Software; Excel; Graphic Design Software; Project Management Software; Word; Outlook; PowerPoint; and Publisher software.
• Other skills required: Graphic Design, Social Media Platform Management, Brand and Marketing Management, Website management & Design.
